Faith Formation at Holy Trinity

Bible

At Holy Trinity, we recognize that God is at work throughout our lives shaping and forming our faith. We invite you to join us for our various Faith Formation ministries:

Faith Formation Ministries

Children’s Sunday School

Sunday School is offered at 9:45 each Sunday during the School year. Children ages 3 years-4th grade are using the Whirl curriculum that focuses on the lessons that are read in worship each Sunday. Fifth graders are using the Connect curriculum which helps them make connections from the Bible to their lives.

Confirmation

Sixth-eighth grade youth attend Confirmation class during the Sunday School hour each Sunday. During the three-year course, they learn about Martin Luther, the Small Catechism, the Bible, World Religions, Faith and Science, and ethics. A mentor program is part of our ministry as well as an annual retreat, service projects and summer church camp.

High School Sunday School

Our High School youth are trying something different this year with one Sunday a month having a topical class, one Sunday going to coffee and talking about their lives, and two Sundays serving as small group facilitators for the Confirmation Class.

Adult Sunday School

We offer a topical discussion group in our Reception Hall each Sunday. This year the class will be discussing the Reformation, Lutheranism 101, Faith & Science, a book on inclusiveness of the LBGTIQ community, and other topics of interest.

A Bible Study is also held during the Sunday School hour. They are currently studying 1 Kings.

COOL (Children of our Lord) for Kindergarten-2nd graders & Joyful Servants (3rd-5th grades)

These two ministries have combined to maximize the size of the group. They usually meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month for lunch and a service component and/or outing.

Book Group—What is the Bible? By Rob Bell

This group meets on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the Ministry Center. We will be discussing Rob Bell’s book and interspersing it with Bible readings and study. Everyone is welcome, whether they read the book or not.
