Lead Pastor for Congregational Ministry

Pastor David Hood became part of our team ministry March 1, 2002. Although his primary responsibility is for the congregation, he also works with Pastor Coulter in campus ministry. Pastor David is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. His wife, Jo, is the Team Leader for Youth and Children's Ministries at Holy Trinity. They have three grown daughters: Kirsten, Melanie and Erin.

Lead Pastor for Campus Ministry

Pastor Mark Coulter was called to our congregation to lead Lutheran Campus Ministry on March 15, 1999. Pastor Coulter was a member of Lutheran Campus Ministry when he was a UNC student. Mark and his wife Kathy have three daughters: Paige, Robin, and Janna.

Pastoral Associate - Pastor Wayne Dubnansky, ph. 572-0293

Cantor - Valerie Lefever Hughes, A.I.M., began serving at HTLC in July of 2007 and was commissioned as an Associate in Ministry here on September 16, 2007. As Cantor, Valerie is responsible for leading all aspects of congregational song, including directing choral and instrumental ensembles and playing organ and piano. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Her husband Adam is also a professional musician and they have no daughters.

Church Administrator - A recent graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill, Corinne Bohling was active in Lutheran Campus Ministry for four years before joining the HTLC staff as Church Administrator on July 30, 2007. Corinne is originally from the great state of Kansas and has a bachelor’s degree in International Politics and Religious Studies. She also has no daughters.

Team Leader for Youth and Children's Ministries - Jo Hood, A.I.M., is the director of youth and children's ministries at HTLC. She is originally from Savannah, GA and has been involved in local, synodical, and national youth ministries. Jo is responsible for programming for youth and children from birth to college. She holds a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in History/Political Science and Special Education. She and her husband David have 3 daughters, 2 (almost 3) sons-in-law, 2 grandsons, a granddaughter, and 3 granddogs. Jo enjoys stamping in her free time.

Team Leader for Live and Parish Nurse- Marilyn Alexander was born in Dayton, Ohio and received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Capital University. She received her RN from Kettering College of Medical Arts and has been in the nursing profession since 1974. She has 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren She and her husband have lived in Carrboro since 2001 and in her free time she enjoys cooking, reading, and travel.

Bookkeeper - Tom Alexander has been the Bookkeeper for Holy Trinity since 2002. Tom was born in Dayton, Ohio and received his BA in Business Administration from Miami University of Ohio, class of 1971. He was previously employed by Fire Service in Kettering Ohio for 25 years having retired in August of 2000. Tom has been married for 29 years and has a wonderful family including 3 step-daughters, 8 step-grandchildren. He and his wife currently reside in Carrboro where Tom likes to play his guitar and paint in his freetime.
